New films on Docuseek2

New Releases!

In September, 37 new titles from Bullfrog Films, Icarus Films and MediaStorm were added to the Docuseek2 Complete and Essential Collections. New Bullfrog titles include AWAKE, A Dream From Standing Rock, which documents the story of Native-led resistance to the Dakota Access pipeline; Death By Design, a groundbreaking film that investigates the underbelly of the international electronics industry; and The Return, which provides a powerful window into the American criminal-justice system and gives a human face to reentry issues, highlighting the need for attention to equality in justice. From Icarus Films, Bones of Contention explores the unknown story of LGBT repression under Franco's Spain, and how the death of famed Spanish poet Federico Garcia Lorca became a symbol of today's LGBT movement; from the dGenerate Collection, Wang Bing's Bitter Money documents China's rapid economic and social transformation by following the rural workers who leave their Yunnan hometown to move to the city of Huzhou to work in its textile factories; and Paths of the Soul, a KimStim production, is a mesmerizing study of faith that will inspire viewers to reflect on their own journey through life. New MediaStorm titles include The Distance Between Us, an intimate film about the relationship between adult twin brothers Chris and Nick, one of whom was born with cerebral palsy; and Return to the Body, about a surrogate partner therapist, who engages in education and often intimate physical contact or sexual activity with clients as part of her practice.

In June, Docuseek2 added 194 award-winning films to The Docuseek2 Complete Collection, including 110 Life Series titles (from Bullfrog Films), the first documentary-film series to examine the effect of globalization on individuals and communities around the world; and over 50 titles from The Fanlight Collection focused on health care, mental health, professional ethics, and more.

New Collections!

The Docuseek2 Complete Collection was to be filled out to 1200 titles by the end of 2017. However, following the September update, Docuseek2 has reached the 1200-film threshold. Docuseek2 is pleased to announce The Docuseek2 Complete Collection: 2nd Edition! Building on the first edition, Docuseek2 will add 600 new titles over the next three years. This comprehensive collection will be comprised of 1800 films by the end of 2020. Special pricing is available for this collection through the end of 2017!

The Docuseek2 Essential Collection, comprised of our most popular and most recent releases, will reach 800 titles by the end of 2017. Thereafter, the 800-film collection will be refreshed on an annual basis with the newest releases from Bullfrog Films, Icarus Films and the other Docuseek2 distributors. This collection will provide schools with a core set of important documentary film from Docuseek2.
